Reichsstand - The Nobel Council
The Prince Electors of Teutonia are second only to the King in influence and power within Teutonia.
The Princes of Teutonia are recognised nobles within the lands of Teutonia
An entity is considered Reichsstand, if according to Teutonian Law it has no authority above it save for the King. This includes:
- Territories governed by a prince or duke
- Feudal territories led by a clerical dignitary, from a recognised Teutonian God
- The ruler of an Imperial Free Town or City, awarded by the King
Privaleges of Prince Electors of Teutonia
It conveys the following rights as granted by the Crown of Teutonia:
They have the right to bear arms, in defence of themselves and their Reichsstand
They have the right to hold courts and exercise Justice over the people of the Reichsstand
They have the right to levy taxes, tolls and duties on the land, herrenhäuser, gehöfte and municipalities within the Reichsstand
In return for these privileges, they shall:
provide a force of war in defence of, and for the interests of the nation of Teutonia
raise and maintain a standing militia within the Reichsstand
pay taxes to the Crown
provide service to the Crown in times of peace and of war
uphold the Laws of Teutonia within the Reichsstand
The Princes of Teutonia have the same privaleges as Prince Electors except that they are not required to provide a force of war in defence of, and for the interests of the nation of Teutonia. If Prince Electors fail to provide forces for Teutonia they will be stripped of the Elector rank.
