Hannover

The City is the process of healing many wounds, after suffering under the occupation of the Drow house Knell Sheddan. The city is currently governed in the name of the High Steward of Teutonia by the Hanoverian Trade Council.

Hannover itself has a large population, of around 20,000, and is the first point of call for traffic from the north and west into Tuetonia, sitting as it does on the estuary of the Rhine. The city is walled, with a recently (four years ago) rebuilt sea wall protecting its docks. There are two major strategic defences in Hannover, besides Hannover castle, currently under the stewardship of Major Beo'dor of the Reiksguard. These are the northern fort of Coalhouse Point, the currently training ground of the Reiksguard, and the abandoned island fortress, Fort Fang - a Sythian fortress whos garrison vanished without trace many years ago, and no visitor who stays the night has ever been seen again. South of Hannover are the Black Marshes, where among other things, goblins and orcs of the Gorn tribe dwell, a bunch of greenskin pikeys who occasionally raid caravans. Places to visit in Hannover include the old Sythian abbey, one of the oldest buildings in the city, and the entrance to Hannover's ancient library. Temple square, where the four most popular gods in Hannover have massive temples on the four corners, Syth, Llolth, Bane and Khorne. The tombs of the kings of the Hannover dynasty are beneath Hannover castle itself, a three walled castle atop the hill on which Hannover stands. The shipywards and docks themselves are a hive of activity, and travellors from across the western world make Hannover first port of call, before heading further into the heart of Teutonia via the river.

Magdeburg

Magdeburg is walled with a relatively small well designed, but somehwat old-fashioned, castle for the current lord. The latter is somewhat deserted at present due to the nature of the last encumbant - he didn't need much in the way of servants. It is thought there may be access to the Teutonian Underdark from within the castle, but this has not been verified.
The major buildings of the city include the cathedral to the gods of Teutonia; Khoreg has recently been the major deity of the city but freedom of worship is allowed as per Teutonian custom and law.
There is also a small university which under the previous Markgraf specialised in the study of unlife, however, the findings are not well known.
Lying as it does on the Elbe, the city has the expected riverside facilities. However, being some distance from the sea it is hardly a major port and can only handle inland river craft.
The city militia have an armoury in the city which is guarded at all times with members of each militia quarter providing men for all watches - thus no one part of the militia can ever control the facility.
Marienburg

Marienburg

Prince Elector & High Provost, Freiheir Flynn von Marienburg
Marienburg is a large walled town located between the Shetian Alps and the Black Forest, near the centre of Teutonia. It has an august history as the original home of the Teutonic Knights and one of the centres of Khoregate religion; and is also an important trade hub, being at the furthest navigable point of the Rhine River. The town first rose to prominence when Malbork Castle (around which the town has grown) became the home of the Order of Teutonic Knights, one of the first Knightly Orders dedicated to Teutonia, rather than the local cities, in the year 534. The town profited greatly from this association and continued as an important trade hub when the Order went into decline in the 700s following the influx of the new Khoregate Religion into Teutonia and the resulting prominence of the Ravens as Teutonia’s dominant Knightly Order. When, following the death of Grand Master Albert von Brandenburg in 787, the Order failed to elect a new Grand Master the Teutonic Knights were formally dissolved and rule of Marienburg passed back to the King. Since that time the town has been nominally stewarded by the von Marienburg family, staunch members of the Ravens, who have maintained the town’s militaristic nature: upholding the local regiments and finishing construction of a defensive wall enclosing the town as a whole. The von Marienburgs have counted several Bishops amongst their number and Malbork Castle itself has been well maintained as a Chapter House of the Ravens, and although this Order has itself been in decline in recent years, the city is still comparatively pious as a whole and continues to be prosperous. Following the foundation of the Order of the Imperial Eagle the High Steward Frederick von Hapsburg has officially granted the new Order rule of Marienburg, naming Sir Flynn ‘Lord Marienburg’ on march the 15th 1108 at the annual Teutonian Banquet.

Prince & Royal Cartographer, Freiheir Iddy Deranged (Currently the City is under the direct rule of the King)
The city was ruled by Tankred up until his untimely but heroic death, aided by his trusted right hand man Aaron Darke.
Some years ago following an outbreak of a mysterious plague in the city it was renamed Khoregsgate and put under a sort of religious martial law - non Khoregates were expelled as the Khoregates appeared to be free of the plague. Under the influence of Aaron Darke, himself advised by one Lazarus, Tankred unearthed a number of important documents and artefacts pertaining to the Khoregate church and following this the plague abated. This led to a relaxation of the martial law and non-Khoregates returned to the city although Tankred still maintained it was now called Khoregsgate.
I believe that since Tankreds death the city has reverted to it's original name and the population recovers.

The city of Riga is situated on the west bank of the River Gauja. The fast flowing river gives ample protection from any attacks from the East and is crossed via two wooden bridges. Entrance to the city is through 6 large gates into the 20 foot tall outer stone walls. The city itself is in two sections, the Outer City and Castle.
