Teutonian Faction Command
Faction Command are Curious Pastimes staff members assigned by the Board of Directors to run the faction.
We write and run faction plot, are responsible for the faction at events and together with our Faction liason
represent the players to all the other Curious Pastimes departments.
1IC King Fredderick von Hapsburg
Fredderick von Hapburg was born of Elizabeth Maria and Karl Ferdinand von Hapsburg.
The family had noble, senatorial roots, although they were neither rich nor influential.
His aunt Marie Christine was the wife of Leopold Pflazgraf von Holbourne and General to King Gustav.
As was expected he entered military service at an early age and served under the command of his uncle for many years patrolling the Ural Mountains, keeping the border secure. Opportunities for promotion where limited on the eastern border of Teutonia, however they where not quiet times and he soon became a seasoned campaigner and rose through the ranks as one of his uncles favoured commanders.
During the reign of King Humaktson, his life became complicated and he was sent to represent his uncle at the royal court as his uncle’s health worsened. Fredderick learnt many things and meet many great people during those long winters with King Humaktson, Duke Kainom and the Royal Court, but come spring he would return to Holbourne, his uncle and the defence of Holborune Head.
As with the rest of the world the blood queen change everything, Hapsburg was leading a patrol in the mountains when the Imperial Forces took Holbourne. It wasn’t until many days later at Lonesome Pine that he learnt of the death of his Uncle and family, but he didn’t have the luxury to mourn him, there was the defence and later the retreat from Lonesome Pine and Odessa to organise. After that loss to the Blood Queen and her magic Hapsburg served as a commander on the eastern front, with nearly daily contact and clashes with the Culjag, Kaladin, and Draken. Although he will never forgive them for the war he has developed a grudging respect for their skills at war and an interest in the culture.

Been role-playing, for most of my adult life, far too long. I joined Teutonia (Vipers) before time began with my group leader and future King Hariata Humaktson in 1994. I enjoyed myself as a player for 8 years before becoming a faction ref and now faction command.

2IC Lord Diplomat Teneniel von Kessel fitzhumaktson
Daughter to the Lord Arcane, Teneniel von Kessel fitzHumaktson has recently taken the King’s right hand in place of her recently deceased husband, the Lord Chamberlain. A devout follower of the Moredhel God Khubeth, Lord of the Hunt, Teneniel is just at home in the ritual circle as she is on the hunt. Tasked with overall responsibility for diplomacy, she has been forced to learn to curb her candid and honest reaction to how she sees the world.
OOC -Sarah Cawkwell (known as Shenanigans (REALLY old) role-playing ever since I joined CP at Renewal, 2001 because 'you'll have a laugh doing it'. I hated it so much that I had to come to Wigan the following year just to confirm that it really was that bad. I never left.
On top of CP, I have also played one or two other LRP systems, including Stargate, which being a 24 hour time-in game introduced me to the concept of returning from an event with no idea whether or not I slept, due to the fact that if I did, I dreamed about being at a Stargate LRP event. Surrealism all the way. Probably more likely to be forever known as Calico and that's my own stupid fault. Proud to be a Teutonian (Viper).
3IC Lord Provost Flynn von Marienburg
Lord Provost Flynn von Marienburg, Hochmeister of the Order of the Eagle and Tuetonian High Provost. Ex marine of the Tuetonian Navy having spent many years loyally on board the flagship, HMS Anaconda. While travelling with the war host to Hannover, Flynn was approached by the spirit of the last grand master of the combined Orders of the Teutonic Knights and tings have never been the same since.
OOC - Spencer Whybrow - Bit fuzzy on the dates - thats what happens when you get as old as I am. Having never done any roleplay before, not even tabletop, I was asked to go along to the Gathering in 1996, spent 6 years in the Vipers at LT before being pursuaded to try a CP event. After my first CP event in the Vipers, I knew I would be coming over full time and haven't looked back since.
Faction Liason
IC - Current main NPC Donald Meichenbaum (chemical Ali). The King of drugs, debauchery and err paperwork.
OOC - Peter Reilly, Known as Chemical Ali. Been playing LARP for 23 years starting at Treasure Trap in his 2nd year of Uni. After leaving Uni set up The Realm system with others. Viper connections: played Hagen Hagenson, Hochmeister of the Ravens, Archbishop of Khoreg (Emeritus) and Commander of the armies of Teutonia from the start of CP for several years until becoming an NPC. Still popping in for weddings funerals and baamitzvas, but less so due to main NPC commitments. Also known as the man that broke the Alchemy and then the Ritual system. The quintessential poacher turned gamekeeper, Peter now runs the Alchemy system within CP and can been seen during most events at the bar distributing wise words and drugs to all that ask. One of Peters many hats is that of Finance Director of CP. Some people have stated that he can tell the value of a coin purely by the sound it makes when dropped onto the floor. Those who really know Peter know this to be nonsense, no dropped money has ever maded it all the way to the floor in Peters presence!
